Forschungsinteressen
Mein Forschungsinteresse gilt der Untersuchung von Wechselwirkungen zwischen biologischen und physikalischen Prozessen im Ozean. Hierzu entwickele und verwende ich komplexe dreidimensionale numerische Modelle. Dabei handelt es sich zum einen um Individuen Basierte Transportmodelle (IBM) zur Simulation, von z.B. Fischlarven im Ozean. Zum anderen arbeite ich mit Ökosystemmodellen, mit deren Hilfe sich Langzeitveränderungen der marinen Primärproduktion und Stoff- und Energieflüsse im marinen Nahrungsnetz untersuchen lassen.
