"Science in Dialogue" is the name of a nationwide initiative, in which major German research institutes are involved. The aim of the initiative is to communicate scientific topics to the public and spark people’s interest in this field. One of our contributions to this effort is the Quantum Leap laboratory for schools, where young students can spend a day performing experiments in two-person teams. The students research physics and chemistry topics under qualified supervision, which makes natural sciences enthralling and exciting. At "Quantum Leap" we provide students with a welcome change from their everyday life at school and supplement their class instruction.
