The COP24 climate change conference begins today
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's special report on limiting global warming to 1.5°C makes important contributions to the COP24 climate conference in Katowice, Poland.
Prof. Dr. Daniela Jacob, Director of the Climate Service Center Germany (GERICS) a facility of the Helmholtz Centre Geesthacht, contributed to the IPCC Special Report on 1.5°C Global Warming: She was a Coordinating Lead Author (CLA) for Chapter 3, together with one colleague from Jamaica and another from Australia. As such, Daniela, was the only German scientist who served as a CLA on the report.
At the World Climate Change Conference (COP 24) in Katowice, Poland from 2 to 14 December 2018, Director Daniela Jacob will give a total of three lectures accompanying the program.
