General Information
The Conference will review research in meteorology, hydrology and oceanography, as related to the water cycle and energy budget of the entire water catchment region of the Baltic Sea. Results from the BALTEX research period 1997-2000, produced by about 50 institutions, universities and hydrometeorological services will be reviewed and discussed and further collaboration within the programme and future planning will be fostered. The Conference will be a first assessment of the results from the main BALTEX modelling and observational phase BRIDGE 1999-2002. The Conference will be conducted at Mariehamn, Aaland Islands, Finland during 2 to 6 July 2001.
