The United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has examined the relationship between agriculture and climate change. The results of the study will be published in a special report (SRCCL). The report deals with the question of whether and how mankind is driving climate change through land management. The report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change is intended to serve as a decision-making aid for politicians. Droughts, heat waves, floods and soil salinisation as a result of climate change threaten the food supply of the world's population.
The Climate Service Center Germany GERICS designs strategies for cities, companies, engineering offices and other responsible parties for adaptation to the impacts of climate change. It is an institution of the Helmholtz Centre Geesthacht. More than 60 scientists work together in an interdisciplinary team in Hamburg. GERICS Director is meteorologist and climate researcher Prof. Dr. Daniela Jacob. https://www.climate-service-center.de/about/news_and_events/news/081884/index.php.en
