My current research centers around the long-term reconstruction of the coupled North Sea and Baltic Sea ecosystem with the physical-biogeochemical model ECOSMOII/E2E, where I am particularly interested in the impact of decadal to multi-decadal climate variations on regional changes in marine plankton phenology and its influence on biogeochemical cycles.
