Kurt Schwabe Prize goes to HZG scientist

On September 7th, the HZG-employee Dr. Marta Mohedano received the Kurt Schwabe Award of the "European Federation of Corrosion" (EFC). The price is endowed with 500 euros.
Dr. Marta Mohedano has got prestigious prize of European Federation of Corrosion (EFC). The Kurt Schwabe prize is awarded every three years to a young scientist below 35 years of age in recognition of his or her scientific and technical contribution to the field of corrosion on the basis of publication.
Dr. Mohedano is AvH (Alexander von Humboldt) fellow and is working at WZK on development of new generation surface treatments for metallic materials using plasma electrolytic oxidation.
The prize was awarded 7th of September during opening ceremony of the main annual EFC event, EuroCorr 2015. A plenary talk was delivered by Dr. Mohedano at this largest corrosion-related European conference.
